I had to use way more than directed to get my car clean. The cost of the number of wipes I needed, didn't make financial sense to continue using them. If I could use just one or two wipes to get my car clean, the product would be a great alternative to normal washing.
Living in an apartment means I can't exactly wash my car in my own driveway like I did back in the day. And unfortunately, the car washes on my side of town are more than a little scary. There's one near work, but it's at the intersection from hell, and the line is always a lot longer than I'm willing to deal with. But right about the time I'd given up and decided to drive to a .nice carwash about 10 miles up the road, I stumbled across these wipes on Amazon. My car is nowhere near new, but it's in good condition with surprisingly low mileage. The silver paint does a good job of camouflaging what little road grime it picks up on my short commute to work each day, but after months and months of nothing but an occasional rain to wash it off, the top of the car was looking pretty grimy. I whipped these out as soon as I got home and parked, and in just a minute or two, I had the top of the car clean and shiny as new. It was so fast and easy that I hit the trunk, spoiler, and back bumper, as well as the hood and sides, and it made an amazing difference. Mine's a compact car, but it was pretty filthy, and I only had to use 6 wipes (half the package) to have it sparkling clean again. I'm sure I'll stop in for a real wash if I happen to be in the neighborhood of a good, safe carwash, but for now, I think I've found my interim solution. If you're stuck somewhere with no good carwash options, want to clean up between washes, or just like keeping your car shiny and sparkling all the time, these Armor All Ultra Shine Wash Wipes are the easiest solution you'll find.
I use these wipes all the time for my Sonata, as you can see from the pictures, they definitely get the job done! The wipes can leave fuzzies on your car as well, but that’s why I always go behind with a microfiber towel. They also can dry out kind of quickly, but the best part about it is all you have to do is use a bit of water and you’ll be back to normal. You really can’t go wrong with these! I use them on my trim as well.
Since it's now getting colder and more slush, ice melt, and debris is appearing on the road I wanted something quick and easy for keeping some of that gunk off my car. I don't know if and when the unusually warm days will happen that I can get over to a car wash, so I felt these would fit the bill for keeping my car looking decent through the winter.I drive a smallish car, a Scion FR-S, and I used five wipes for my entire car (one for each side, the back/trunk, the front/hood, and roof of the car). I tried to use as much of the wipe as I could so there'd be no "clean" areas on the towel, but once it got to the threshold of looking like I'd be smearing dirt back onto my car I'd get a new wipe. However, your mileage may vary depending on car size and dirt/grime level. I could probably use less if it was only a little touch up. For the price of these I get 2 to 3 quick washes for my car, so I'll be repurchasing as needed. To me it feels misleading to say no drying, or what amounts to not needing to do anything after initially wiping down your car. The page says it "effectively clean and details," but I'd say it effectively wipes up most dirt and grim, but the detailing is up to you. I found after wiping down one side of my car that I had blotchy streaks left where the product liquid had dried. Going over it with a microfiber cloth buffed it out and made my car shine, but know that these wipes are only one step to a multi-step process.
I used these on a very dusty Cadillac Brougham. I had to use about 8 wipes to cover the her gigantic gracefulness, but the results were impressive. I could see myself very clearly in the paint. It says so on the package as well, but these are not going to cut it when it comes to heavy grime or anything caked on. I tried to go over a caked on area, and it practically needed the entire moistness of one wipe just to cut through it. It didn't hurt to give it a shot, of course. These wipes are best to use on cars in between washings or to maintain the look. If you visit your uncle in the country and come back with caked on mud around the wheel wells and some of your rocker trim, you need to skip these wipes and get the hose out. These wipes are only a shortcut to washing it if the car is dusty, or at worst, has some bird doo-doo on it. This is not your miracle car cleaning wipe that gets you away from the bucket and sponge forever. Thanks!
I should have thought to take before and after pictures. But I have a silver car and it’s in a dim garage, so alas. Am I the only person wigged out by car washes? Well, I try to avoid them and hand wash my car if at all possible. Plus once I lost my antenna in a wash, so it’s warranted really. My car is never super dirty, but it was definitely dusty with lots of random dirt spots. It took about 6 of these (pretty large!) wipes to get my car clean. And by clean I mean, it looks like I went through a $6 automatic car wash at Brown Bear. Definitely worth about 20 minutes of labor! I only wish it came maybe 30 to a pack, because at this rate I’ll go through one pack a month.
Cleaned my outdoor doors & doorways beautifully! Easy/fast to removing bird poop from my aluminum siding! Also had very dirty garage windows -- it removed the dirt and they look great too.Like Norwex, I folded the towel to create 4 squares to clean, then reversed and used other side, i.e., towel is nice size thickness to use both sides before tossing. Great product -- my husband was impressed, so I ordered a couple more boxes to have on hand & my neighbor asked me to order her a box.
Works well, but I feel they are overpriced.
These work so well to clean a car or truck if not to heavily soiled. Great shine. However the price has tripled sense I first bought a pack 3 or 4 yrs ago. Like from $ 17.00 to over $50.00 bucks. Unbelievable ! They are very convenient but at that expense. No way . I’ll just go back to my wash & wax cleaner in a bucket of water all in one product, rinseThen wipe dry. For less then half the cost. That’s why I gave only 3stars Hopefully someone will copy this product and sell at a lower cost
They cost $10 a pack the last time I purchased them in 2021. Armor All stopped making them, so now they cost a fortune. They work well as a finishing wipe, after you wash the car. I liked them for that purpose and wish I had bought more back then. They're definitely not good as a stand-alone car wash option.
