This was a good product that was easy to install just using a rubber mallet. However after two weeks it’s slipped two inches forward which caused a problem.Edit: added a 8 ft strip of rubber matting and it stopped it from slipping.
I really like this flooring. At first, trying to install it was very difficult. I had to go on to the manufacture's website to see how to install it. There is no other place I could find any info on installation. But after watching the video, it was relatively easy. It took me a full day to do 12 boxes and I am a 60 yr old female. After it arrived, I thought I was going to be short so I ordered an additional 4 boxes, but I had the exact amount down to the last tile with the 12 boxes. Just so you know, returning these boxes is not free so make sure you order the amount you need, no extra. It was $50 a box to return them. If you are looking for the edging in gray, Amazon does not sell it but I talked to the store and they sell it so you can purchase it from them. She stated Amazon decides which parts of the flooring they want to carry and they only carry the black edging. I did not return the edging though cuz it was just more shipping cost, which I figured would be the amount it would cost to purchase the right color. Overall, a great product.
These are solid, heavy duty tiles and very easy to install - press down with your palms or use a mallet to lock in place. The pieces come locked in a 2x2 grid - easiest way to separate them is lay them on the floor, put your foot on one half and peel up the other - making sure of course that the piece with the loops is the one under your foot!
Let's start with the bad. They shipped me the wrong color to start, this caused me a delay in getting started, and the inconvenience of having to haul the wrong color back to UPS and ship back. These boxes are not light, so that was a pain. They did however handle it very professionally, and I had the replacements in about a week. The replacement was actually the 'up branded' Racedeck version, that is the gray color in the photo, they are slightly sturdier and a bit heavier, they are 100% compatible with the Garagetac version, which are also made by Racedeck. Took me a bit longer than most of the videos, you do have to cut unless you get lucky and have the exact size, but cutting with a table saw is quite easy. I've had these installed now about 6 months, and they look as good as they day there were installed, I'm quite happy.
Just installed this in our garage. Wow transformed the look of the garage in just one day. Ordered 3 different colors ( black, gray and alloy silver) to get the pattern we wanted. Easy to snap together and easy to cut panels with jigsaw. As far as durability, we’ll see, hopefully many years. Definitely not the cheapest product out there
Finished product is great and our garage looks fabulous. The only issue was the online videos did not portray the work in installation. The videos show people installing the tiles by merely abutting them and stepping on them to lock in place. No one in our house could get the tiles to lock together no matter how hard we stomped on the seams. Had to install with a rubber mallet on my hands and knees. Nonetheless, the final look is great
Very impressed with this product! My 80 year old detached garage floor saw a lot in it's time. This totally transformed it in a matter of hours. It took a total of 4 boxes of 48 to complete my 9.5' x 19' single car garage. I purchased 2 boxes of the graphite color and 2 of the black to get the design I wanted. The tiles come pre-assembled in groups of 4 so depending on your application you may need to take some apart. I found using a pair of slip joint pliers made taking them apart pretty easy. See my picture. If you can't find the instructions in the box, they are printed on the actual box inside of the top. Everything I needed for the job is in one of my pictures. Laying them is relatively simple. They snap together easily with a slap of your hand or by stepping on them. I found it useful to have a rubber mallet handy for tight spots and few stubborn ones that needed a good a whack. Cutting them is easy. I used a jig saw with a fine blade. Then cleaned up the cut edge with some emery cloth. I installed the transition kit that is sold seperately and listed under "Frequently bought together". I staggered the joints on the transition pieces from the joints on the tiles thinking it will make for a more secure connection. Once done, I held my breath as I backed my very heavy classic car into the garage. Nothing shifted or cracked! Here's hoping they are durable and give me years of service.
Easy to install and very durable. Love the look of these tiles. Could easily transform your entire garage in hours. Highly recommend these.
Great product. I'm not sure why it's so much cheaper than the big names because this stuff is very well made. I completely completed my garage floor working alone about three hours the afternoon the tiles arrived and then another three or four hours the next day. Every tile has 16 locking points securing it to the tiles around it. They go together fairly easily. It's a toss up between using a rubber mallet and just stepping on them with your foot to get them to snap in place. I ended up rotating the techniques. If you're 70 years old like I am, be prepared to have your butt kicked with all the bending over but it's worth it. Swinging the mallet or stomping your foot isn't a big deal but when you figure you're installing >400 tiles and you have to hit each one six or eight time... it adds up. I'm a happy customer.
Overall great experience from product/customer service. Floors look pretty good - very easy to install. Rating 4/5 due to the following:1) Flooring initially slid due to being placed over a painted floor (wish this type of information was included as instructions as I wouldn’t of painted the floor.2) As you work your way down from corner to ending of garage, there are little nubs sticking out where additional pieces would snap into - doesn’t have great aesthetics. It would be nice to sell an attachment that uses those to clip in a mini pitch for beginning of garage.
