There are so many car detailing products out there that is really easy to get confused and overwhelmed. To make it worse, there are tons of Internet pundits, all talking about how some brand or product is the best and you would be crazy to consider anything else. The truth is, there are many products out there can produce great results. What I like about the Chemical Guys system is that they have a comprehensive package of products that all work together along with a great set of instructional videos to help you get started. It had been a while since I had done any detailing on my cars, so the Arsenal Builder kit was a great way for me to get back in the game with an assortment of the most commonly used products all bundled together at a very good price. In my opinion, the results I was able to get with this system speak for themselves. The foam canon is the heart of the kit. It hooks up to an ordinary garden hose and quickly applies a generous layer of wash foam onto your car. You need to set your expectations properly, this is not going to produce the same kind of results a pressure washer foam canon would, but the results are more than adequate for an amateur like me. Some people have commented that the quick disconnect can leak, but I have not had that problem. The included car wash works great and smells fantastic to boot. In fact, all the cleaning chemicals included do the job they are designed to do well. I especially liked the Butter Wet Wax, which goes on quick and easy by hand and produces a great shine. Full disclosure, in addition to the products contained in this kit, I used the Chemical Guys Blacklight Glaze and V07 Quick Detailer.Another plus is the Chemical Guys customer service. The wash bucket dirt trap included in my kit arrived damaged, but the Chemical Guys took care of me shipping out a replacement right away. There may be better products out there, or at least products that may work better for certain applications. I found that the Chemical Guys system works well for me. I am able to get great results with a moderate amount of effort and at a fairly reasonable investment level. If you are looking to start detailing your car and are getting confused by all the options out there, I highly recommend jumping in with the Chemical Guys Arsenal Builder.p.s.; I have no connection to Chemical Guys at all, I am just a happy customer.

Pretty great entry level car wash kit. There's a ton of mixed reviews out there (especially reddit) about the chemicals and company, but thankfully the kit I got had 0 issues. The foam cannon works okay, it doesn't really foam all that well and it's mostly water that kind of runs off, but at least it doesn't leak like others'.All my bottles were intact with no spills. I wish the kits would come with a basic instruction or suggested order of uses, watching multiple videos and guessing wasn't ideal.. especially if they market these to first timers. One item missing from this kit is a drying towel, but easy enough to get a couple afterwards if needed. For 80 bucks on black Friday, it's a good deal.
It is a very complete kit for all EXTERIOR needs , easy to use and the results will make you feel it worth the investment. Also good for my motorcycle.
Washed my new car for the first time. I had read several reviews that the foam gun connected to just a hose (and not a pressure washer) was not very effective. I couldn’t disagree more! I put the foam gun on setting five, and was literally blown away by how much foam it produced. Was able to cover my entire SUV thoroughly in the suds. I especially appreciate the soft mitt, when soaked in additional suds, gliding on the surface. And could easily do 1/2 of the car on one side of the mitt, and the other half using the other side. Finally, the microfiber towels are so absorbent, and for large sections of the car. (I used 3 1/2 if the 16x16 and the entire car was completely dry!) I am VERY impressed.
After a little misfire with my pressure washer, I ended up using this kit the old fashioned way. I know that defeats half of the purpose of it, but for the time being this is my review... Overall the products I tested worked great. The soap and mitt are pretty standard as are the microfiber towels and as other reviewers have mentioned, it's a little silly that it only comes with one bucket when Chemical Guys advocate a two bucket system. You can pick up a semi-translucent paint mixing bucket from a big box store and another grit guard, but as my S/O's car was so filthy I figured anything at all would help- I also got to test it out on her car first :D I think that's a fair trade. I used the window cleaner, speed wipe, the silk shine on the trim, and some toothpaste for the headlights and got the car looking like it had had a professional detail job.Window cleaner left a streak free shineSpeed Wipe went on easy and was akin to a Turtle Wax Ice- not a true wax, but a definite improvement over nothing at all considering it takes about 3 minutes to applySilk Shine had the dash and trim looking brand spanking new. Not sure if it's much better than Armor All, but I prefer the smell and application was a breezeTook a while, but the car looks as good as I've ever seen it. I probably took 3 years of wear off with one wash and light detail if you could even call it that considering the products I used. I definitely recommend this kit- I think it's a fair value for money, especially if you're just starting out and want to test the waters.
The product arrived on time and in good condition. It works well and has a nice design. The seller was responsive and helpful when I had a question. I would recommend this product and this seller to anyone.
I just bought a new car that is black and I decided it was time I took care of keeping my car clean so it always looked good. The kit has worked out wonderfully for me and I get my car nice and clean with confidence that I'm not using stuff that will harm my car's finish. I've done 4 car washes with the kit so far. The spray gun works really well. The wheel cleaner and brush work great to get my wheels looking really sharp with relative ease!! The bucket, spray gun, and the spray bottles all feel like high quality stuff. The mitt and towels are great also.A few nitpicks...This kit had all I needed except for something to clean the inside of the car. I picked up a bottle of Chemical Guys Innerclean Interior Quick Detailer. They should include that in this kit. It's pretty basic.I found the applicator for the Silk Shine protectant didn't work well on the inside of the car. It's better suited for the exterior like tire sidewalls. I ended up over-applying it resulting in some very slick surfaces from the excess. I picked up a small applicator to use in the future.Yes this kit is for washing the outside of the car, but some basic things to get the inside clean and shiny could easily be added rater than having to get it separately.I found I was going though the wheel cleaner WAY too fast and I watched much of it run down the wheel onto the driveway. Because it is a gel, it doesn't really spray. I found it far more efficient to rinse the wheel with the hose, soak the wheel cleaning brush, and give a couple of sprays of the wheel cleaner on the brush. This lathered up quickly and was more than enough to clean a wheel. With the Snow Foam auto wash, I found it sufficient to fill the spray gun half way to the "soap line" with soap and the rest with water. Otherwise I was going through far too much soap for a single wash.I haven't had a chance to use the butter wax or window cleaner yet. Those seem straight forward so I don't foresee any issues there.
This is my first car wash kit and it was so easy to use. The chemical guys have a youtube channel and they teach you the basics of washing your car. Not everyone has someone in their life to do that so I really appreciated all the videos. The mit was soft and easy to rinse out. I really liked the after wash spray and you get 2 big microfiber towels, that combination is a huge help to less experienced car washers. I got a lot of compliments on my car and I’m proud to say I washed it myself : )
I hope this review is helpful for both buyers and the Chemical Guys.Mitten and brush and cloths - how much better they are than others 5 or more less, I don't know. They worked. I'll need another brush for tighter spaces on my wheels. And I'll need a couple way bigger drying cloths. And I'll need a couple waffle windows cloths. So I paid more for what I could have paid less for AND still need to buy 3 more things. Gets me wondering.Bucket and filter - Nice size and one of a kind filter. How much good it does, I'm not sure. Price for bucket was comparatively good.Foamer - about the same price as others, although there are Chinese brands half the price. Didn't really push out the water or foam as much as I'd like. Probably need a pressure washer, but I'd rather just use two buckets - one with suds and other for rinse. Save water and money and do close to as good a job.Diablo wheel cleaner - it's a gel but it's in a spray bottle. I watched their videos and it sprayed like a mist and then sudded up and then you scrub it with the scrubber. My sprayer didn't mist, but just squirted glops out in a line. So it didn't sud or cover well. And I didn't see that it cleaned any better than the cheaper stuff I've used before.Snow foam soap, or whatever it's called - It foamed and cleaned, but again, I didn't see that it did any better than less expensive stuff that you get more of. Fun smell though.Shine stuff for interior and sorta tires - yet again, didn't seem to do much better than other less expensive stuff.Didn't use the wax or glass cleaner. As I kept watching their and other pro detailers I learned a few things:UV protection just isn't real. There are guys that have tested all the car products for how well they stand up to UV - and they just don't work. (And I live in Phoenix, so double that.) You can clear coat - expensive - or you can film - less expensive but drawbacks.Stuff that keeps your oil based stuff black - Chem Guys say their best whatchamacallit tire and plastic gel is oil based. (Have a video where they're putting it on a Jeep's plastic fenders.) But, again, there are guys showing how after a few weeks, every single black stuff car stuff fades. Doesn't hold up to UV.(But I got thinking and saw all these videos where Petrenol does absolute wonders on outside plastics for a long time and is the same price for a gallon!)So when it comes down to it:Get some basic wash. Get some basic indoor stuff. Get some basic tire cleaner. Get some basic tire dressing. 50/50 Alcohol/distilled works for cleaning windows. (Not sure what to use on carpets.) Get some basic inside plastic protection. Protection stuff will work about two weeks. Same with tires. Best long lasting stuff for outside plastics is Petronol. Get some big drying cloths, some waffle window clothes, some big and small brushes, a mitten, and a couple of buckets. That all being said - of all these car care companies, presentation, stand outness, coolness, variety, helpful videos, etc. Really like Chemical Guys. And the bundles are a good deal if that's what you're looking for. But while that stuff is nice - not for me.
